BARNSLEY FC are delighted to announce that they have awarded the hospitality catering contract for the Oakwell Stadium to Event Management Catering Ltd.

In addition to providing outstanding match day hospitality, Event Management Catering Ltd (EMC) will be responsible for developing a vibrant non-match day event business at the Oakwell Stadium.

Currently operating key stadium contracts across the North of England including KC Stadium Hull & Galpharm Stadium Huddersfield, EMC fought off stiff competition to secure a five-year contract.

Adrian Hunter, Director of EMC, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be awarded such a prestigious contract and look forward to working closely with all parties to develop a true community facility for the people of Barnsley"

With great facilities within the Stadium, EMC are looking to maximise their potential.Sarah McAllister, EMC Group Sales Manager added : "We shall be developing our own calendar of events and have a new and unique party theme for Christmas 2007 which will be launched soon. We are already taking bookings for conferences and events and will be speaking with event organisers throughout to offer a bespoke service"

With regards to job creation, Adrian Hunter said: "Our recruitment process will commence shortly and we are looking to secure a number of key personnel to support the stadium operation on both match days and non match days. This will be a talented management team at the forefront of our business in Barnsley".
