SEASON ticket sales have already raced past the 2007/2008 total following Saturday's renewal deadline and demand is showing no signs of slowing down with queues at Oakwell again this morning.

Thousands of Barnsley supporters have joined with the Club ahead of the forthcoming Championship season with sales an amazing 65 per cent up on the same point last season.

Barnsley FC General Manager Don Rowing told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "Sales are not only 65 per cent up where they were after the renewal deadline last year but we have already sold more season tickets than we did throughout the whole 2007/2008 campaign.

"There is a real buzz of excitement around Oakwell as we head towards the new season and supporters have joined with that and taken advantage of our great offers. This is a great time to be a part of Barnsley Football Club and hopefully thousands more will join with us on our journey as we head towards another memorable campaign".

Season tickets are now on general sale at the Oakwell Box Office. Adult prices at Oakwell start at just £290.00 and with free tickets for juveniles aged under eleven there has never been a better time to join the Reds.
