DUTCH full back Marciano Van Homoet signed for the Reds in the summer of 2007.
Born in Rotterdam, Marciano joined his hometown club as a youngster, making his first team debut during the 2004/2005 campaign.
He went on to make 28 appearances for Sparta Rotterdam, netting one goal.
Although a fractured hand in pre-season held Marciano back a little, the Dutchman went on to become an integral part of the first team squad during the second half of the 2007/2008 season.
